Van Mieghem Logistics innovates and contributes to a CO2-neutral world. Our goal: to be the sustainable partner for all your logistics processes. We therefore keep looking for new ways to innovate sustainably.

Transport

Van Mieghem Logistics minimises the impact of its transport activities on the environment. Our fleet consists 100% of vehicles that meet the strictest emission standards. In addition, two eco-combis are used to carry the load of three standard trailers. A number of vehicles run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), reducing our CO2 emissions by up to 90%. We also have several 100% electric vehicles.

Thanks to our in-house TMS, we achieve significant savings and optimise transport routes. Finally, our drivers receive continuous eco-driving training.

Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected in our CO2-neutral logistics centres. A few examples:

  • 10,000 m² of solar panels supply us with electricity.
  • We opt for LED lighting everywhere.
  • Rigorous recycling policies: all non-reusable pallets, but also packaging and even the rainwater falling on our sites, are collected. This water is cleverly used to supply our offices in an ecological way.
  • The white walls and roofs of our buildings reduce their heating.
